Step by step tutorial: TYRANNOSAURUS

Description

1- Structure the "armature" faithfully following the proportions of the skeleton (in this case I made an average of measurements taken from various assembled skeletons of Tyrannosaurus). For the silhouette use a smooth contour for the glabrous parts of the body (muzzle, hind legs and belly) and a more irregular outline for the rest coated with feathers.
2- Distinguish the feathery parts from those glabrous beginning to draw a plot rhombic for scales and another micro-draped for feathers. In the hips the two textures should overlap with each other to give the appearance of transition of the tegument. Start from head to the tail.
3- After finishing texture, give some tweaking of shading with a nib with the tip slightly wider. Draw the design of the plumage, which can be spotted, striped, leoparded, nuanced, or as in this case, mixed; the design should be wider wherever the plumage is less compressed. Also in this case I suggest you to start from the head.
4- Complete the design of the black and white plumage (eventually even the scaly parts but I recommend of no because otherwise the result would be excessive) to start my favorite part: the color! Fill the main backgrounds with markers. For the ruff usually use carmine or vermilion while for the featherless areas often opt for brown colors.
5- Fill the rest of the body with a color marker of mainbase (in this case the gray). Then add the nuances and shades with pastel colors (in this example I used various tones of green). When you are satisfied with the outcome, sign, scan, digitally fix any imperfections and add the metric bar.
